If SideStore says refresh failed, it usually means one of these: your Apple ID session expired, the anisette source isn’t reachable, the pairing file setup is missing/broken, or Apple limits/certificates are blocking signing.
Quick Fix Checklist (Try First)
- Open SideStore and keep it open for 60 seconds (don’t background it).
- Switch networks (Wi‑Fi ↔︎ cellular) if possible.
- Sign out/in inside SideStore if you recently changed your Apple ID password or 2FA.
1) Pairing File Problems
If your setup relies on Wi‑Fi refresh or background refresh, pairing is often the culprit.
- Guide: Pairing Files with SideStore
- Fix: connect via USB and reinstall SideStore with iLoader so pairing is recreated.
2) Anisette Server Issues
Refresh may fail if anisette is down, blocked, or incompatible.
- Guide: Anisette Servers Explained
- Fix: update iLoader + SideStore to latest and retry later if the server is rate-limited.
3) Apple ID / Session / 2FA Problems
- If your password changed, sign out and sign back in inside SideStore.
- Make sure your device time/date is correct (incorrect time can break verification).
4) Certificate / App Limits
Apple limits can block refresh/signing.
5) iOS Settings That Commonly Break Refresh
- Developer Mode (iOS 16+): Enable Developer Mode
- Trust profile: Settings → General → VPN & Device Management → Trust
