If you want to sideload from a Mac to an iPhone, iLoader runs natively on macOS and talks to your device over USB—similar to Windows, without needing the full Xcode workflow for routine installs.
1. Install iLoader on your Mac
Grab the universal DMG or tarball from the download page (Apple Silicon and Intel builds are packaged together). Open the app; if Gatekeeper blocks it, use System Settings → Privacy & Security to allow the app once, as you would for any signed third-party Mac app.
2. Prepare the iPhone
- Update iOS if you can; enable Developer Mode on iOS 16+.
- Connect with a known-good USB or USB-C cable.
- Unlock the phone and tap Trust for this Mac when prompted.
3. Install SideStore (first-time)
Follow Getting Started: sign in with your Apple ID inside iLoader, select the device, and install SideStore. Pairing files and certificates are handled in the same flow as on other platforms.
4. Install IPAs
Use iLoader’s install IPA action or manage apps through SideStore after refresh is configured. Step-by-step: How to install IPA on iPhone.
5. Mac-specific tips
- If the device disappears after sleep, unplug/replug and wake the iPhone.
- Keep iLoader updated from GitHub Releases.
- Compare tools anytime: SideStore vs AltStore.
