If an IPA install fails or stops at “Unable to Install”, work through the items below in order. Most issues are signing, limits, or iOS settings—not a “bad IPA” file.
1. Developer Mode (iOS 16+)
Confirm Developer Mode is on and you have restarted when iOS asked.
2. Free Apple ID limits
- Three active apps — See Apple’s 3 app limit; remove an app or wait for slots to free.
- Certificates — Revoke stale certs in iLoader if you hit provisioning errors: Fix revoked certificate.
3. Device storage and iOS version
- Large IPAs (games, TikTok mods) need free space; leave several GB headroom.
- Check the app’s minimum iOS on the listing (for example iLoader IPA pages).
4. USB and trust
- Use a data cable, unlock the phone, tap Trust on the computer prompt.
- Windows: see Device not detected (Windows) if iLoader never sees the device.
5. Verification and integrity messages
If install “succeeds” but the app won’t open, switch to Trust developer or Unable to verify app.
6. Still stuck
Update to the latest iLoader, retry with a smaller IPA to rule out corruption, then read Troubleshooting and SideStore not working.
