This guide shows the most reliable way to install SideStore from a Windows PC using iLoader. Once SideStore is installed, you can sideload and refresh apps (IPAs) without jailbreaking.
What You Need
- Windows 10/11
- iPhone/iPad on a supported iOS version
- USB cable (data-capable)
- iTunes from Apple (needed for usbmuxd on Windows)
- Apple ID (free developer account works)
Step 1: Install iTunes (Windows)
- Download iTunes from apple.com/itunes.
- Install it, then restart Windows.
- Open iTunes once (so Windows finishes drivers/services).
Step 2: Download and Open iLoader
- Go to the Download page.
- Install iLoader (MSI recommended) and launch it.
Step 3: Connect Your iPhone and Trust the Computer
- Connect your device via USB.
- Unlock your iPhone and tap Trust when prompted.
- If iLoader doesn’t detect the device, see Device Not Detected.
Step 4: Enable Developer Mode (iOS 16+)
On iOS 16 and later, you must enable Developer Mode before sideloading:
- Follow: Enable Developer Mode iOS
Step 5: Install SideStore with iLoader
- In iLoader, sign in with your Apple ID when prompted.
- Select your device.
- Choose Install SideStore and follow the prompts.
- When finished, SideStore should appear on your home screen.
After Installation: Install an IPA
Once SideStore is installed, you can install apps (IPA files) with iLoader:
